My name is Giorgia Martelli, I am 22 years old and I have a Bachelor in interpreting and translation from Italian into English and Spanish, but I also studied German for 5 years.
From September 2016, I started attending the Master International Communication at Hanze University in Groningen, Netherlands. Currently I’m studying at Leeds Beckett University, UK.
I worked two months for a Steamship and Forwarding Agency as a linguistic assistant: I wrote emails and dealt with on board problems.
In San Diego (CA), I worked as intern assistant for a Property Management dealing with translations and work orders.
I have also been an event hostess for the Polo Beach Cup, an international event in Italy. I also worked as an interpreter for the Rabbi Jeremy Milgrom, during two conferences, on the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
I am a collaborating person, and this can be seen by many team works and projects that I carried out during the semester in Gronigen. My team had to work on a survey: it was hard, but we managed to complete everything and at the end, the final presentation turned out to be a very good job.
I am culturally competent, thanks to the possibility to meet and work with people from all over the world.
I love challenges: one of my best successes has been the interpreting conference with the rabbi. The topic was very difficult and the audience was very well prepared, my partner refused to work so I did everything by myself, but the congratulations at the end have been very much appreciated.
My future: I would love to work in the fashion industry, in particular, in fashion magazines such as Vogue or Vanity Fair. I would like to be an assistant and take care of PR and events organizations.
