Sheridan Hancock

My name is Sheridan Hancock, and I’m 21 years old. I was educated at Monkseaton High School in northern England, before heading onto Newcastle Sixth Form College to do my A-Levels. The most valuable placement I embarked on took place in August 2015, when I was the PR Intern for Festival Republic at Leeds Festival. This job included assisting journalists, helping to run the press tent and the press box office. Through this placement I learned some valuable skills; liaising with the press and the public alike, as well as being able to solve problems if they arise.

In the future, I hope to be involved with the music industry in some way, whether that is as a journalist or a PR professional. Live music has been my foremost interest throughout my adolescence, and I believe you have to be passionate in your line of work. This is something I can definitely see myself doing after university.

Outside of my studies, I enjoy practising calligraphy and attending concerts. I’m also the current president of Leeds Beckett’s Harry Potter Society.
