Born in Slovakia, currently doing a double degree MA in International Communication, having spent the first semester in Groningen, the Netherlands, and now studying in Leeds, the UK. Since an early age, I have had the opportunities to travel to many countries as a dancer of the Slovak folklore. International festivals, exploring different cultures, making friends from various places helped me to reveal a true sense of tolerance, solidarity, and respect. Fascination with languages and cultures made me apply for the bachelor programme Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication in Bratislava, Slovakia. Apart from the English and the French language, the program gave me a solid insight into international business and cross-cultural negotiation for which I am grateful. Moreover, I did a study abroad exchange program in International Business Management in Lyon, France. Excluding my previous part-time job in a study abroad agency, I worked as a volunteer for non-profit association AIESEC. As far as my international background is concerned, I worked as a Business Development and a Marketing intern in two different start-ups; for enterprise social networking and team collaboration solutions in Barcelona, Spain, and for automation, robotics solutions, and 3D printing in Warsaw, Poland. Apart from the aid to expand their businesses, I had the opportunity to obtain knowledge from the fast-evolving start-up industry. As the key attributes, I considered myself to be devoted, honest, future-oriented with a strong focus on details. My desire is to become a professional in the sphere of Communications in the international and culturally-diverse environment, and the main interests include online media, digital communication, and future trends.
